CARE GUIDE AND WHAT NOT TO DO WITH YOUR NEW GECKO.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR GECKO AND WHAT NOT TO DO TO IT:
Leopard geckos are lizards native to the Middle Eastern area, and are part of the family "Eublepharis" a way to pronounce this is (Eub-lephar-is). The leopard geckos home life in the wild has, high humidity, rocky soils, warm weather, low amounts of water, and very low amounts of predators. These geckos get their heat from their bellies so a light is never advised, a great temp to set your gecko at is around 75%---87% due to the fact that you don't want to over heat the poor little thing. These geckos also live 10--20+ years. The geckos diet includes many types of bugs, the best to offer your gecko are mealworms, super worms, dubia roaches, and on occasion a wax worm or two and always give/DUST your gecko calcium without DH--3. We don't feed our geckos crickets because they have a low source of fat, and fat is a big part of your leopard geckos diet. The overall set up of your gecko should have a 10--20 gallon tank, 2-3 hides, food, and water dish, for substrate paper towels and Eco earth are the best choice, and a heat pad under the tank. If you are a breeder, you most likely want a rack set, we do not recommend breeding geckos if they are your first few they live 10--20+ years so you have to stick with it.
